Standard de Liège, Olympiakos Piraeus and Ioannis ‘Giannis’ MANIATIS have reached an agreement: the Greek defender/defensive midfielder will be lent to our club until the rest of the season with an option to buy (depending on the outcome of his medical tests).

Giannis MANIATIS, born the 12th of October 1986 (29 years old) in Livadia, began his professional career at Panionios in 2004 (147 matches/6 goals). In 2011 he was transferred to Olympiakos Piraeus (148 matches/11 goals) where he was the captain of the team.

On his palmarès he has 5 championships (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015) and 3 cups (2012, 2013, 2015) with Olympiakos.

Giannis is a Greek international as well (39 caps).
