Standard de Liège, Stade Rennes and Christian BRÜLS have reached an agreement : the Belgian offensive midfielder will be on loan for the season 2015-2016 with a purchase option.
Christian, born in Malmedy on the 30th of September 1988 (26 years old), began his professional career at KAS Eupen in 2002 (50 matches/4 goals).
After a passage at MVV Maastricht between 2008 and 2010 (66 matches/6 goals) he continued his career in Westerlo (48 matches/6 goals) and at KAA Ghent (81 matches/7 goals).
In 2013 he was on loan to OGC Nice (38 matches/4 goals).
Last year he was transferred to Stade Rennais, but a couple of injuries bothered his season.
Today Christian BRÜLS decided to give confidence to Standard de Liège for the continuation of his professional career.
Axel LAWAREE : “We’re convinced that Christian could be a huge plus for our group. He knows the Belgian championship very well and he gained experience in the Ligue 1. We hope that he’ll refind his best level as soon as possible, because his technical abilities, his spirit and his mentality are trumps for each team.”
Standard de Liège would like to give a warm welcome to Christian BRÜLS and wishes him all the best at our club.
