Standard de Liège is looking for a Sports Scientist for the first team.

The Performance Department is looking for an experienced and ambitious individual to work as a Sports Scientist to support the first team. This is a unique opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team, aiming to maximise our players’ peak performance.

The Sports Scientist's goal is to work in collaboration with the sports and medical staff to create a training schedule and content that will enable our first team to achieve competitive results. He/she must also decide on an appropriate scientific process, which will help the coaches to make decisions, and optimize the development of our athletes. 

In addition to professional skills, we are looking for someone who is passionate and willing to work, and who is a team player. 

 

Required qualifications :

•    A degree in motor sciences, sports physiotherapy or other sports-related training 
•    In-depth knowledge of nutrition is a plus 
•    Evidence of working with professional athletes for a minimum of 5 years; previous experience working in professional football is an asset 
•    Analytical mind and attention to detail 
•    Flexible approach to working hours 
•    Ideally bilingual English and French
